What is “bio cosmetic”?

In recent years, we have all become more and more aware of the impact we can have on our planet. That is why many companies have decided to adopt the same mentality as us by becoming “clean” in one way or another.

This is the principle behind the creation of “ bio cosmetic ”!

Whether it's your mascara, your hand cream or your makeup remover, every step of your daily beauty routine plays a role in pollution and mass consumption. But thanks to our progress in science and the involvement of many in protecting our environment, alternatives to the usual pollutants have been found for cosmetic lines.

Indeed, it is now very easy to find your favorite cosmetic products while acting positively on your planet! Since 2017, new laws have been passed to regulate organic cosmetic products in order to make them 100% good for everyone. A product is now considered to belong to organic cosmetics only when its composition comes from organic farming at 20% and the rest of its components are made of plant products.

But stay alert because “greenwashing” does indeed exist! Brands are ready to do anything to use what can be considered a new trend, to continue to please their customers and attract new curious people. It is therefore important to read the instructions on each product in order to read its composition. If you find the words “paraben” or “silicone” written in tiny letters hidden in a corner of your aloe cream, move away because no, these products are not ecocert certified.

Who would refuse to use these products? It may seem like a tiny and ineffective action, but far from it. If each and every one of us adopted these small daily gestures, the result would be visible on a global scale.
