Hair typology classifies hair type from 1 to 4 with hair subtypes from A to C.

Hair type: straight

Type 1A straight hair: fine and tends to tangle easily.

Straight hair type 1B: fine with a little more hold and thickness.

Hair type 1C: thicker and more resistant to curling. Hair type 1C is also shinier with the presence of sebum in the scalp that goes all the way to the ends.

Wavy hair type 2A: fine and slightly wavy in an S shape along the length. The hair's wave is more undefined and not very voluminous.

Curly hair type 3A: large, well-defined S-shaped curls. This hair is shiny but is the heaviest in the category, which is why the curls lose a little of their definition.

Curly hair type 3B: curls well defined from the roots and tighter which can take the form of frizz.

Curly hair type 3C: Well-defined, tight curls with a texture that can be perceived as frizzy or very curly.

Type 4A kinky hair: very tight curls or coils. Very voluminous hair with a somewhat defined shape.

Kinky hair type 4B: S or Z wavy, finer but dense with pronounced waves. Be careful with this type of hair because it is more fragile but malleable and soft when detangled.

Kinky hair type 4C: This hair is the most complex because it is finer, more fragile and dry. You really have to take care of your hair if you are in this category.
